YOUNG ADULT

First Presbyterian, Concord's Young Adult Ministry is welcome to all people 20s, 30s, and 40s (and we'd be more than happy to have anyone older than that, too!)

While there is a great variety to this age group, what we hold in common is a faith in Jesus Chris, and a sense that Christ calls us to join with each other and with Him to be a part of God's work in the world.

In addition, we see the following as particular goals for our ministry together:

  • To develop more connection amongst Young Adults in our congregation—connecting with each other and with our community and world.
  • To craft a group identity for Young Adults that centers around our common faith in Jesus Christ and foster within us a deeper sense of belonging and reliability.
  • To assist Young Adults in efforts to enrich their faith and celebrating the exciting possibilities and blessings to be part of God's work in the world.

History

church053THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH was founded in 1804 when the village of Concord was nine years old.  In fact the first organized congregation in Concord is believed to have been Presbyterian.
