Youth
Classes
There are two Youth Classes.

The Middle School class is for 6th-8th graders. During the
2008-2009 Sunday school year, the class will engage in an in-depth
and hands-on study of the New Testament, learning not only about the
stories, ideas, and theology in this part of our bible, but also
exploring the world and culture at the time this material was
written and collected. The class Meets in the Middle School Room on the
3rd floor of the Will Young Building.
The High School class is for 9th-12th graders. This year the
High Schoolers are tackling several different topics--including "The
6 Great Purposes of the Church", a study focused on
environmental stewardship and peacemaking entitled "God's World, Our
Home" and a series of bible studies examining the different
scriptural pictures and descriptions of the character of God. The
class meets most often in the Youth Room on the 3rd floor of the
Will Young Building. Additionally, the High school class
spends one Sunday morning in the "Common Grounds" Coffee Room where
the discussion topics can range from politics to movies to various
other pop-culture topics, asking constantly how do these things
impact my faith? |
